Culture Date with Dublin 8

This year, Pearse Lyons Distillery, is delighted to be part of the Culture Date for Dublin 8 initiative, which celebrates the cultural, historical, and architectural heritage of the area and encourages people who are living, working and visiting Dublin 8 to explore what is on their doorstep.

On May 13 and 14, 2023 Pearse Lyons Distillery invites you to join us to explore the rich history and heritage surrounding the former St. James Church, and how it came to be Pearse Lyons Distillery. Discover the stories of the trades men and women who worked in this part of the Liberties and what was once known as "The Golden Triangle" of Irish Whiskey production. With burial records dating back to the 11 Century, this engaging tour will bring you through 800 years of history. The tour will also focus on the restoration of the St. James Church by the Lyons family from 2013-2017, before the craft distillery opened its doors to the public. This tour doesn't include a tasting
